This post is one of a series devoted to the pros and cons of purchasing a housecleaning franchise. - Ed.
The Initial Franchise Fee is composed of two components:
- A Fixed Franchise Fee of $6,996; and
- A Protected Territory Fee of $.69 for each Qualified Household in your Protected Territory as described in Item 12 of the Offering Circular, which meets our then current demographic criteria for median income and home value, which may vary, based on demographic information. As of today, our Qualified Household is defined as a household with income of over $75,000 per year.
For first time You’ve Got MAIDS Franchisees, we are currently waiving the Protected Territory Fee of $.69 per Qualified Household for a base population of 10,000 Qualified Households! This is a limited time offer, and don’t expect it to be available much longer. This is a land grab opportunity, pure and simple. Think Far & Away except instead of Tom and Nichole you get Frank and Cynthia.
To illustrate, if your Protected Territory included 25,000 Qualified Households, you would remit to us a Fixed Franchise Fee of $6,996 plus an additional Protected Territory Fee of $10,350 ($0.69 multiplied by 15,000) for a total of $17,346.
